2017 Chevrolet Express 2500 Work Van Cargo Honest Workhorse, Not a Showpiece

Lets be real this 2017 Chevrolet Express 2500 Work Van is not rolling off the showroom floor, and its not here to impress anyone at valet. What it is, though, is a flat-out dependable work partner with plenty of power, space, and grit to keep your business moving forward.

Its got 102,595 miles of honest labor under its belt, powered by a rock-solid Vortec 4.8L V8 paired with a heavy-duty 6-speed automatic. The exterior in Summit White actually looks pretty good straight panels, no crazy rust issues, nothing youd be ashamed to slap your companys logo on. In other words: presentable enough to pull up on a jobsite without apologizing.

Now, the interior? Thats a different story but in the best way possible. Its not fancy, its not new, and its definitely not something youll worry about keeping clean. This van has already been worked in. The vinyl seats, flooring, and panels all carry the marks of a van thats been in the field. That means you can throw in your tools, ladders, parts, and coffee cups without having to tiptoe around like youre in grandmas Cadillac.

This thing is ready to be used, not babied.

I have had my express 2500 cargo van for 3 years and have had no problems whatsoever. Smooth ride! Not bad on gas 17-28 mpg

I have a 2009. Bought it at 170000 kms. Now it has 250,000 kms. The oil cooler and transmission cooler lines rusted so I replaced those. An oxygen sensor went. I just now see the water pump is leaking and the ventilation fan has a bad connection. The right rear door has a hinge that is broken. The emergency brake cable rusted out. And the airbag light has been on for four years. But this van always starts. Never let me down. Even on the coldest Canadian morning. I have put only about $500 in repairs to drive this vehicle from 170,000 to 250,000. It needs a lot of work but it still gets me to my job and back. If you do not want to go broke fixing cargo vans, do NOT buy a euro-style van. Stick to the GM products. These things are not pretty, they are crude, but they cost nothing to keep on the road.

Comfortable across all trim levels. Basic features on the lower end models. But they have the same Reliable power trains.
